I was truly honored to be called on to help relaunch High Sierra, a brand that has been a staple in the outdoor recreation space for over 50 years. Partnering with Samsonite, I joined a small but mighty team of designers with a clear mission: to modernize High Sierra while preserving its legacy of crafting some of the most functional, durable, and sustainable gear out there.
My role was to lead the redesign of several best-selling backpacks, duffels, luggage, and more. I focused on integrating clean lines, modern trims, and smart functionality—ensuring each piece stayed true to High Sierra’s adventurous spirit while feeling fresh and relevant for today’s explorers.
This wasn’t just a product refresh; it was a complete transformation. From reimagining the brand identity and aesthetic direction to shaping marketing and photography, our team built everything from the ground up.
